About Us

Jacques & Carolyn purchased the bakery in November 2010. We have brought the bakery back to the Old Fashioned style of baking, using only the freshest ingredients. Eclairs are filled with real cream, pies are filled with real fruit. Breads are baked with no preservatives etc.

In 2011, Jacques and Carolyn renovated the bakery, and added the Deli on. Jacques originally being from Montreal, QC, has brought in The Montreal Smoked Meat. Being a native of Montreal, Jacques has the Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich down to an art. The Montreal Smoked Meat is Steamed to perfection, hand carved in front of you and served on our own homemade Rye bread.

Jacques & Carolyn came to Nova Scotia originally in 2006 and lived in the Glen Margaret Area. They fell in love with the community and the people. They attempted to relocate back to Alberta in early 2010, and needless to say were missing the Maritimes, therefore they relocated permanently back to Tantallon in October 2010.  

Jacques & Carolyn believe in their products, they serve quality products at reasonable prices. They encourage you to drop by anytime, and if your a first timer at White Sails Bakery & Deli, please feel free to let them know, they will gladly let you sample a variety of products such as their delicious Sugar Pie, Smoked Meat or Mandarin Orange Tea Biscuits.
